Hi

My name is Beate. I live at Sotra, an island outside Bergen in Norway. Here I live with my husband, 1 dog and a lot of cats at the moment

I start breeding cats in 1987. My first cat was a chinchilla persian. With no pedigree. Then I got a colorpoint persian. A girl. She gave birth to 3 cp's where I kept one. And that one was the breeding girl I used after that.

In 1991 I saw a big blue boy at a show in Bergen. I just had my first baby myself and was not looking for a new cat at that moment. But when I saw him i just fell. He was only 3 months old. It was his first show. And the best? He was for sale

His name was Damokles du Septentrion.

After getting him in the house I started to look at other british shorthair. And in 1992 I bought a girl for him. A brownspotted one. Her name was Doris av Sjøpus. So at that moment I was breeding both persians and british. But in 1997 i sold my last persian and only had british left.

Unfortunally Dobbin disapeard. He went outside and just didnt show up again. After 6 months my mothers unckel told me he had found a cat in the garden dead. It was Dobbin. Not long after that I lost Doris too. She got ill.

I had not kept one single cat from them so there I was without any british shorthair. Only one I had was a mix between one of my persians and Dobbin. He looked like an exotic.

Some year went bye with only this one cat. But in 2004 I found out that I would have a new cat again. After looking around I felt for this beautifull kitten from Stavanger. And not long after Molly was in the house

Today we have a lot of cats. This time I dont want to sit without any lines that I have been trying to breed. So I have kept one girl after Aida and Bernie, 2 girls after Rhapsody and Aida, and 2 boys after Rhapsody and Aida. These will be my next generation.
